SHENZHEN, China, March 25, 2025,

The Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2025 has started in Boao, Hainan today. Being the fourth consecutive year and a new board member of the Boao Forum for Asia Board of Directors, vivo exhibited its latest innovations: Blue Technology Matrix (BlueImage, BlueLM, BlueOS, BlueChip, BlueVolt), vivo Vision (vivo MR headset), 6G technology, etc. vivo's future flagship camera phone, vivo X200 Ultra, was awarded the status of "Official Smartphone of Boao Forum for Asia".

In the "vivo Release Moment" event on the afternoon of March 25th at the Boao Forum, Hu Baishan, Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer at vivo, and President of the vivo Central Research Institute, gave a keynote speech entitled "Humanity in the Future of Technology by vivo". In his address, Hu said that the mobile phone sector is a microcosm of China's technological innovation and that vivo's growth represents the development of this industry. Hu expounded on the core business philosophies implemented during the last three decades, emphasizing three different aspects: long-termism, humanistic thinking and emphasis on cooperation and mutual success. As of now, vivo has ranked number one in Chinese domestic mobile phone brands by market share for four consecutive years and has reached more than 500 million users across over 60 countries and regions globally.

Hu Baishan said that the mobile phone industry has been an "incubator" for new industries in the last several decades and has changed our ways of working and living. Now, AI and robotics represent the peak of technological accomplishment in the digital and physical worlds, respectively. However, these two worlds are still somewhat separate and have not been ideally combined. The mobile phone market with its enormous consumer base, the most cutting-edge technological environment, and multifaceted application scenarios, might bridge these two worlds. Robotics might be the future of the mobile phone market, combining digital connectivity with physical functionality. Notably, this future will keep highlighting people-oriented values and targeting user scenarios to build ultimate experiences.

At the speech, Hu announced that vivo has formally set up the vivo Robotics Lab. With vivo's ten years of "BlueTech" expertise in areas such as AI large learning models and imaging, combined with vivo Vision's real-time spatial computing experience gained, vivo will concentrate on advancing two fundamental fields, the "brain" and "eyes" of robots. Meanwhile, vivo will target the consumer market, creating robotic products for home and personal use. vivo wants to take technology out of the lab and into people's daily lives. In this manner, it will concentrate on incremental breakthroughs and ongoing innovation to solve real-life situations and pain points of users, refining product development in the process. vivo Vision, first premiered at the Boao Forum, represents a watershed moment for vivo's advancements in mixed reality technology. With this to follow, next month's release vivo X200 Ultra will also incorporate vivo's recent innovations in imaging. Looking forward, vivo sees a world where robotics enriches daily life and is dedicated to working together with industry players to bring robots into homes all over the world.
